Palestinians injured after Israeli settlers attack West Bank village near Nablus
Several Palestinians were injured by Israeli settlers on Thursday evening in an attack on the village of Jalud, south of Nablus.
Local sources reported that dozens of settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, attacked citizens' homes on the outskirts of the village. One citizen was wounded in the head with a rubber bullet, three others were injured from stones, two from shrapnel, and dozens suffered from tear gas inhalation.
The same sources reported that clashes broke out between the Palestinians, including some who came from neighbouring villages to defend the area, and the settlers and occupation soldiers.
The attack on Jalud comes a day after a major settler rampage on the town of Turmu Ayya, northeast of Ramallah. One Palestinian was killed and 12 others were wounded by live ammunition, in addition to several homes and vehicles that were burned down.
