Well-informed Palestinian sources revealed, this evening, Sunday, that Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the "Hamas" movement, may return to the Gaza Strip, on a visit that will last for days or several weeks.

Haniyeh is currently at the head of a leadership delegation from the "Hamas" movement in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

The sources told Al-Quds.com that Haniyeh obtained approval from the official Egyptian authorities for the possibility of returning to the Gaza Strip, provided that he would be allowed to travel again at a later time.

According to the sources, Haniyeh has not yet made his final decision on whether or not to return to the Gaza Strip.

In the event that Haniyeh returns to Gaza, this will be his first since he left the Strip at the end of 2019.
