Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Education expressed its rejection of what happened in Al-Ufoq Elementary School in Jerusalem, stressing that the students' event, performed with Hebrew songs, goes along with the occupation's policies aimed at the familyization of education, ironing the collective national consciousness, and striking the foundations of the Palestinian Jerusalemite identity.

The Ministry confirmed, in a statement, that this school affiliated with the occupation municipality, and with these activities, is trying to beautify the ugly face of the occupation and legitimize its attempts to target the Palestinian curriculum and the sovereignty of education in Jerusalem.

She called on parents to take a stand on this event and miss the opportunity for the occupier to tamper with the basics of comprehensive upbringing for students, distort their awareness, national identity and memory, and alienate them from the priorities and concerns of their Palestinian society represented by an independent and fully sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
