Occupation forces storm a hospital in Nablus and arrest two wounded individuals after an officer and a soldier were killed in the town of Tal

On Friday, occupation forces stormed Nablus Specialty Hospital in the northern West Bank, where they carried out an arrest operation against two Palestinians from within the medical facility. Military sources claimed that the detainees were involved in the shooting operation that took place in the town of 'Tal' in Nablus Governorate, noting that the operation was based on accurate intelligence information that led to their apprehension inside the hospital and their immediate transfer to interrogation centers belonging to the intelligence service.

In an official acknowledgment of the extent of the losses, the occupation army revealed the identities of two killed individuals who fell during clashes and the military operation in the town of Tal. It was revealed that the first killed was an officer with the rank of major, serving as a unit commander in the armored corps. The military statement also confirmed the killing of another soldier belonging to the 'Al-Quds' Brigade, who died from his direct injuries during search operations and the pursuit of the perpetrators in the area that witnessed violent confrontations between resistance fighters and occupation forces.

These developments coincided with the occupation forces committing a massacre in the village of Tal, southwest of Nablus, which resulted in the martyrdom of four Palestinians and the injury of four others with varying degrees of wounds, amidst attempts by settlers to burn citizens' homes and shoot at them. Local sources reported that occupation vehicles stormed the city through the Huwara checkpoint and completely surrounded the specialty hospital, causing a state of terror and panic among patients and medical staff who were subjected to abuse and identity checks.

For his part, Nablus Governor Ghassan Daghlas refuted the narrative promoted by the occupation regarding the circumstances of the events, stressing that what happened was a heroic stand by the residents against an attack launched by armed settlers on the village under army protection. Daghlas explained that the occupation is trying to cover up its crimes by targeting health facilities and abducting the wounded, emphasizing that the steadfastness of the citizens in the town of Tal thwarted the plans of the settlers who tried to burn public and private property.

On the ground, occupation forces imposed a strict military cordon and a comprehensive siege on Nablus Governorate, with the declaration of a curfew in the village of Tal and its neighboring areas to secure the withdrawal of forces and vehicles. This widespread military campaign comes amid escalating tensions in the West Bank, where national and Islamic forces condemned the massacre, calling for an escalation of comprehensive confrontation in response to the targeting of hospitals and the cold-blooded killing of civilians.

The operation came after field intelligence efforts during the storming of the medical facility, where the detainees were transferred to interrogation centers.
