An Israeli intelligence officer (50 years old) was killed on Monday by drowning in an Italian lake in the north of the country.

And the Hebrew Channel 13 reported that the officer was retired, and he was on a cruise ship on the island of Maggiore.

It indicated that two Italian intelligence officers were killed in the same incident, along with the ship's owner's wife.

The Italian coast forces rescued a number of other tourists and Italians, including former and current intelligence officers who were on board the ship.
