Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said, "The Palestine Liberation Organization was established to be a broad frontal struggle framework that includes all colors of the national spectrum, to be a protector of independent decision-making, and a representative of all Palestinians, regardless of their orientations, and in all their places of residence in the homeland and in exile."

He added, in a statement on the occasion of the 59th anniversary of the founding of the Palestine Liberation Organization, which falls on Sunday, “The PLO was founded on the principle of national partnership based on the values of right, justice, freedom, democratic practice, and political pluralism, and that the legitimacy of the organization derives from the legitimacy of its struggle and the unity of factions, national forces, and representative bodies and institutions.” within its framework, in order to achieve the goals of our people by ending the occupation, achieving freedom, and establishing an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Shtayyeh recalled the leaders and founding fathers of the PLO who died in the paths of struggle, after they made great sacrifices, and who continue the struggle until the end of the occupation.

He continued, "The PLO will remain the safety valve and the compass of the struggle until our people achieve their goals by embodying the independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, and the refugees obtain their right to return to their land in accordance with UN Resolution No. 194."

Shtayyeh stressed that "the challenges that our people face today and that target their presence on their land and their right to establish their state will only increase their strength, determination, and rally around the organization, the incubator and protector of their legitimate rights, and that the occupation's crimes, repressive measures, and violations of Islamic and Christian sanctities will not undermine their resolve, nor will they affect their certainty of inevitability." achieving its goals with freedom and independence.”
