Two young men were killed, at dawn on Wednesday, by the Israeli occupation forces, who executed them after they were wounded during a new aggression on the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, during which one young man was wounded and another arrested.
According to the Ministry of Health, the two martyrs are Ahmed Jamal Tawfiq Assaf (19 years old) and Rani Walid Ahmed Qatanat (24 years old).
Eyewitnesses told Al-Quds.com that special units infiltrated with a Qabatiya vehicle and set up ambushes for wanted persons in the western region. Immediately after their discovery, armed clashes erupted, while the occupation pushed military reinforcements that stormed the area and occupied buildings and set up sniper teams, amid continuing clashes.
According to witnesses, a special unit inside a large vehicle, a refrigerator, suddenly opened fire at the two young men, wounding them, before the vehicle hit the vehicle and the soldiers got out of their vehicle and fired directly at them, killing them both.
After the crime, angry marches took place in the streets of Jenin and the camp, led by resistance fighters, and the participants chanted slogans calling for the continuation of the resistance and revenge for the martyrs.
According to what the uncle of the martyr Rani said, he is a fighter and a liberated prisoner, and he was subjected to several arrest attempts. Immediately after he heard of the storming of Qabatiya, he left the camp and went to participate in resisting the occupation, which he accused of executing him with his colleague Assaf in cold blood.
