A lion's bite takes the life of a child in Khan Yunis

A 6-year-old boy died on Monday evening, as a result of being bitten by a lion that was in the Asdaa Zoo in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip.


According to medical sources, the child, from the Ma'an area east of Khan Yunis, arrived at Nasser Medical Complex in critical condition, and his death was announced shortly after.


Later, the police in Gaza said that the child died from serious injuries sustained by a lion inside the zoo, where the child climbed inside the protection surrounding the lion's cage and approached one of its openings, which led to his injury and then his death.


She indicated that an investigation was opened into the incident.
