Today, Monday, the Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs said, quoting its lawyer, Fawaz Shaloudi, that a slight stability has occurred in the condition of the prisoner, Yaqoub Qadri , who is being held in Rimonim prison.

The prisoner, Qadri, told his lawyer: "The pains have greatly diminished, and the boils have also receded, but I still suffer from exhaustion, and I can only walk for ten minutes, then lie on the bed for several hours to rest. Abroad from all governmental and official agencies, public institutions, family, friends and people of my people abroad.”

According to the authority, Qadri went through difficult conditions more than a month ago, as a result of the schistosomiasis germ, which infected him on the left side of the back and chest, which led to the emergence of large, severely painful boils. Schistosomiasis is a rare disease that affects our country only in African countries.

It is worth noting that the occupation forces arrested Qadri on October 18, 2003, and he was sentenced to two life terms and 35 years in prison, and in May 2022 he was sentenced to an additional five years in prison, on the background of the operation to extract his freedom along with five of his fellow prisoners.
