The Supreme Emergency Committee for the Prisoners' Movement decided, on Wednesday evening, to suspend the hunger strike, which began today and was to be completed on Thursday morning, with the addition of 2,000 prisoners.
This came after reaching an agreement with the Israeli Prisons Authority to stop the punitive and arbitrary measures against the prisoners, which were recently taken by the Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir.
The Prisoners' Authority and the Prisoners' Club indicated that a detailed statement will be issued by the Emergency Committee in the coming hours on what has been agreed upon.
