The Mufti calls on merchants not to monopolize goods and raise prices in the month of Ramadan

The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories, Chairman of the Supreme Ifta Council , Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, called on food merchants to avoid monopoly and exploitation, raise prices, and be content with easy profit, during the blessed month of Ramadan .


And the Mufti stressed, during his presidency of a meeting of the provincial mufti, today, Thursday, to preserve the sanctity of the month of Ramadan, calling on the owners of restaurants and cafes to close them during the day in Ramadan.


He called on citizens to control and organize alimony according to what is available and what is available, to avoid extravagance and waste, to be keen to inspect the needy and needy families, to help the poor, to pay zakat money to those who deserve it, to increase prayer and supplication, to draw closer to God Almighty by doing good deeds, distributing alms, and upholding ties of kinship.


He stressed the necessity of traveling to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque for its reconstruction, especially during the month of Ramadan, in order to obtain the great reward that God has prepared for its construction and the worshipers in it, especially in light of the sinful incursions into it, and the continuous threats to attack and desecrate it.


The Mufti noted that the time approved in Palestine for Fajr, Maghrib and other times is the daily time of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is approved by the Palestinian Dar Al-Ifta and the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs.


The meeting discussed ways to develop and advance the work of Dar Al-Iftaa, due to its service to our true religion and our dear homeland, and to review the reports and plans that have been developed for that.
