Ismail Haniyeh , head of the political bureau of the "Hamas" movement, met this evening, Wednesday, with the Speaker of the Algerian National Assembly, Saleh Goujil, at the assembly's headquarters upon his arrival in Algiers, at the head of a delegation from the leadership of his movement. A number of members of the National Assembly participated in the meeting.

The delegation included a number of members of the political bureau of the movement, and they are; Khalil Al-Hayyah, Hussam Badran, and Muhammad Nazzal, along with other leaders Osama Hamdan, Sami Abu Zuhri, and its representative in Algeria, Muhammad Othman.

During the meeting, the head of the "Hamas" movement expressed his appreciation and pride in Algeria's leadership and people, and his happiness at being on its land and enjoying the atmosphere of its celebrations of the victory of the great Algerian revolution.

He praised Algeria and President Tebboune's position on the Palestinian people, their national cause, and their efforts towards reconciliation, which resulted in Algeria's declaration of unity.

He emphasized the strong and well-established relationship between the two peoples, and the Algerian Arab and authentic positions on the Palestinian issue.

He pointed out that this visit to Algeria comes in light of a set of changes at the regional and international levels, especially the escalation of the dangers surrounding the Al-Aqsa Mosque and attempts to divide it, and the crimes of the occupation government, which is trying at the same time to proceed with normalization, which poses a threat to the nation, adding that "at the same time, the resistance that The occupation is working to annihilate it in the West Bank, which has become an arena of permanent clashes with the enemy." like he said.

He stressed that the strategy of "Hamas" is based on three priorities, namely: comprehensive resistance, foremost of which is armed resistance, and then arranging the Palestinian house, reiterating his movement's commitment to the Algiers Declaration.

He said, "The third element in this strategy is to strengthen the relationship with the Arab and Islamic nation, including Algeria, which always stands by the Palestinian right."

For his part, Speaker of the National Assembly, Saleh Goujil, affirmed the firm stance towards the Palestinian people struggling for their independence, stressing the Palestinian unity in accordance with the Algiers Declaration, and stressing the need for unity of resistance with political efforts and integration between them.

He affirmed Algeria's position against normalization, and said, "The Algerian president proceeds from the history of the Algerian revolution, and he is one of the most interested in the Palestinian cause and keen on achieving achievement, especially the unity of the Palestinian people."
