According to the Hebrew website Ynet, one of the photos was taken of Barnea during his presence in the European Youth Judo Championship that was held in Tel Aviv in 2016, and documents of comprehensive medical examinations that he apparently conducted that year, confirming that all the photos and documents are old years before he assumed the presidency of the apparatus.

Israel believes that the materials published on Barnea since last March were obtained by hacking his wife's phone.
