Agricultural Relief signs agreements for the first batch of beneficiaries of the cash-for-work project in Ramallah
Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - Ghassan Al-Katout - Agricultural Development Association " Agricultural Relief ", contracts for 22 young men and women, beneficiaries of the "emergency social protection to confront the Corona pandemic (Covid-19) - money for work in the West Bank" project, which It is implemented by the Palestinian Fund for Employment, in partnership with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Labor, and funded by the World Bank.
Through this project, the Foundation will provide 500 job opportunities, equally between males and females.
The Director General of Agricultural Relief, Munjid Abu Jaish, said that the Foundation is a partner in this project, adding that it has signed 22 job opportunities in Ramallah out of 500 job opportunities that will be distributed later according to the planned plan.
He added that, through the project, Agricultural Relief was able to establish partnerships with 66 municipal councils and 88 cooperative societies, pointing out that the project, which was launched within the framework of emergency social protection to confront the Corona pandemic, is of great importance to the association, which in turn seeks to save the groups most affected by the pandemic.
In turn, Khaled Shtayyeh, the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at the Palestinian Fund for Employment - Money for Work, said that the signing of contracts today is a translation of the objectives of the project, which comes in partnership between the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Finance, funded by the World Bank, under the supervision of the Employment Fund, praising the importance of the program that provides a hand Assistance to those affected by the Corona pandemic, in integrating them into the labor market, opening the door to networking with the market, and gaining experience that facilitates their practical future path for them later.
It is noteworthy that PARC will complete the contracting process with the beneficiaries and operators, as determined in the project plan.
