Palestinian welcome... Arab leaders are calling for a solution to the Palestinian issue

Jeddah - "Al Quds" dot com - (Agencies) - Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi affirmed his country's firm stance towards the Palestinian issue , and the importance of reaching a just and comprehensive solution that guarantees the rights of the Palestinian people, and the establishment of their independent state in accordance with international references.


During the meeting held with US President Joe Biden, today, Saturday, on the sidelines of the Jeddah summit , which brought together the leaders of Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and the United States of America, Al-Sisi expressed Egypt's keenness to cooperate with the United States, to discuss ways Revive and advance the Palestinian-Israeli negotiation process.


The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, called for serious negotiations to settle the Palestinian issue.


"We look forward to an effective role for the United States in calling for serious negotiations to settle the Palestinian issue, in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy," he said.


He added, "The dangers besetting the Middle East region in light of the tense international situation require finding a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian cause."


"One of the most important sources of tension and instability will remain unless Israel stops its practices and violations of international law," according to the Emir of Qatar.


Jordan's King Abdullah II affirmed that there is no security, stability or prosperity in the region without a solution that guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, to live in security and peace alongside Israel.


He pointed out that economic cooperation in the region must include the Palestinian National Authority to ensure the success of regional partnerships.


In turn, Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa affirmed that the difficult political, security and economic conditions that the Middle East region has suffered over the years, and extremely dangerous challenges, requires us to think balanced and deep on how to get out of the ongoing crises and conflicts, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause.


The Bahraini monarch stressed the necessity of resolving the Palestinian issue through a just and lasting settlement and establishing an independent Palestinian state, in accordance with the two-state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative.


He stressed the need to create promising and sustainable economic opportunities for the brotherly Palestinian people and their effective participation in comprehensive development.


The Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Hussein Al-Sheikh, appreciated the steadfast Arab position on the Palestinian cause.


He said in a tweet on "Twitter": We appreciate the firm and historical Arab position on the issue of Palestine, its lively presence at the Jeddah summit, and the affirmation by all Arab kings and leaders present on the need to implement international legitimacy in ending the Israeli occupation and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.


Al-Sheikh continued: "It is time for the suffering of our people to end after 74 years of occupation, so that they can live in freedom, security and peace, and that the Palestinian state be established on the borders of June 4, 1667, in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy, which is a pillar in establishing security and stability."


Al-Sheikh clarified: "The key to peace in the Middle East lies in Palestine and Jerusalem, by resolving the Palestinian issue in a just solution without any derogation, in accordance with what was stipulated in the resolutions of international legitimacy."


The Sheikh renewed his thanks to the countries participating in the Jeddah Summit for their permanent stance in support of the Palestinian people and their leadership.
