Abu Bakr: What happened in the session of the prisoner of Halabi is an attempt to escape from the farce of the directed Israeli judiciary

Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - The head of the Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, Major General Qadri Abu Bakr, said today, Thursday, that what happened in the trial session of the prisoner Muhammad Al-Halabi yesterday (Wednesday), which bore No. (170), an attempt by the Israeli judiciary to escape From his failure to convict him, and to cover up his affiliation with the Israeli Shin Bet.


Abu Bakr explained in a press statement that yesterday's session included the prosecution's request to sentence the prisoner of Aleppo for a period of 16 years, noting that the hearing of the final verdict was postponed to August.


Abu Bakr called on trade unions and legal and human rights institutions to work hard to stop this farce, which affects the international justice system, through actual action to create pressure on the occupation authorities to stop all their violations against the Halabi prisoner and the right of all our male and female prisoners in the occupation prisons.


It is noteworthy that the prisoner, engineer Muhammad al-Halabi, from the Gaza Strip, works as director of the "World Vision" organization in Gaza, and was arrested while he was traveling through (Beit Hanoun / Erez Crossing) on June 15, 2016. He is married and father of five children. Recently, he was arrested. He was awarded an honorary doctorate from an academic institution in Germany for his humanitarian work, and he is considered the owner of the longest trial in the history of the occupation.
