He faces the cancer and the jailer.. The prison administration is carrying out a crime against the prisoner, Iyad Nazeer Omar
Jenin - "Jerusalem" dot com - The Palestinian Prisoners' Club confirmed that the occupation prison administration continues its crime against the cancer-stricken prisoner Iyad Nazeer Omar (40 years) from the Jenin camp, as the prison administration deliberately procrastinates in conducting the necessary examinations at the specified time, especially That time is the main factor in containing any possibility of worsening his health condition.
The Captive Club pointed out that the prisoner Omar suffered during the past few years from a worsening of his health condition, as a result of his suffering from a (benign) tumor on the brain, which was removed in August of last year, and at that time he was in Megiddo prison.
Once again, his health condition deteriorated, and it is clear that the current health symptoms indicate that the tumor has returned again, and as a result, he was recently transferred to "Ashkelon" prison, because it is close to "Barzillai" hospital.
The club pointed out that last year and the beginning of this year, several cases of prisoners were found to have tumors, including the prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid, who is the most dangerous of them, as we did not witness an increase in cancer and tumors as we are witnessing today.
It is noteworthy that the prisoner Omar is one of about 600 prisoners who suffer from diseases and health problems of varying degrees, including 22 prisoners who suffer from cancer and tumors.
It is noteworthy that the prisoner Omar has been detained since 2002, and has been sentenced to 24 years in prison. During the years of his detention, he lost his parents and the occupation prevented him from saying goodbye to them, and his mother was also prevented from visiting him before her death for ten years.
The Prisoners Club held the occupation prisons administration fully responsible for the lives of sick prisoners, who face systematic policies that caused them to develop chronic diseases, as the crime of willful medical negligence (slow killing), and the structure of prisons, with its degrading details, were central causes of serious illnesses among prisoners, especially who have spent many years in captivity.
