Continuing to boycott the courts.. Prisoner Raed Rayan continues his hunger strike
Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - Prisoner Raed Rayan (28 years) from the town of Beit Duqu, northwest of Jerusalem, continues his hunger strike in the occupation prisons, rejecting his administrative detention.
Rayan enters his 85th day in a row, as he languishes in the clinic of Ramla prison in a serious health condition.
Youssef Rayan told Al-Quds.com: “My son Raed suffers from difficult health conditions. He suffers from pain all over his body, constant fatigue and emaciation, and cannot move his limbs normally. He is unable to stand, suffers from frequent dizziness, and vomits material.” Bleeding and blood at times, and he suffers from pain in the ears, despite that he is being held in what is called the Ramla prison clinic, with his hands and feet shackled.”
Despite Raed Rayan’s suffering from the continuous deterioration of his health, according to his father, he insists on going on hunger strike, receiving medical examinations and taking nutritional supplements, noting that he was forcibly given food aid when he passed out as a result of his strike a few days ago, and that Raed only drinks water and salt.
Rayan remains the only one among the six prisoners who had been on hunger strike in recent months, after prisoners Khalil Awawda, Zakaria Al-Zubaidi, Abdullah Al-Barghouti, Muhammad Nawara, and others ended the hunger strike.
In the same context, the administrative prisoners in the occupation prisons, for the 181st day in a row, are boycotting the occupation courts to demand an end to the policy of administrative detention under the slogan "Our decision is freedom."
