Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - The Israeli Occupation Court decided today, Thursday, to extend the detention of the prisoner , Khalil Awawda , until the sixth of next month.


According to lawyer Khaled Zabarqa, who is charged with defending the prisoner, Awadeh, "The Israeli court in Lod extended Awawdeh's detention, on charges of smuggling a mobile phone, even though the phone he had was the same one he used in Isaf Harofeh Hospital with the knowledge of the Prison Service."


Meanwhile, the spokesman for the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Prisoners Affairs, Hassan Abed Rabbo, said that the Occupation Court in Rishon LeZion decided to extend Awadeh’s detention until 6/11/2022, and transferred his file to the Central Court in Lod.


He added that the prisoner, Awadeh, is still being held in the Ramla prison clinic, and he suffers from a problem with the nerves, the brain, and the eyes, in addition to difficulty walking on his feet.


The prisoner, Awawda, was scheduled to be released on the 2nd of October, but the occupation prisons administration, in response to the instructions of the Israeli intelligence, circumvented the decision of the agreement to release the prisoner, under the pretext that an indictment would be filed against him.


The prisoner Awawda (40 years) from the town of Ithna, west of Hebron, suspended his open hunger strike, which lasted 172 days, to reject his administrative detention, on the 31st of last August, after reaching a written agreement to set a ceiling for his administrative detention and release him on the second of October. first running.
