Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - The Ministry of Labor launched the General Administration for Inspection and Labor Protection and the General Administration for Occupational Safety and Health, today, Sunday, an inspection awareness campaign on the construction industries sector to educate workers who are not committed to preventive measures in their workplaces, and employers who are not committed to providing means Individual and collective protection.

The campaign, which will last until the tenth of next month, also aims to educate employers about the necessity of appointing an occupational safety and health supervisor in their facilities, and raise awareness of the working conditions, rights and duties of both parties in the law, in addition to inspecting work conditions and compliance with the provisions of the law.

The campaign targets workers and employers in establishments in the construction industries sector, which includes the stone saws sector, quarries, crushers, brick industry, tea industry, tile industry, and concrete industry, as a result of the high risks in the work environment, the lack of awareness among workers of the dangers of the work environment, and the negligence of employers. Work, non-obligation of workers with personal safety equipment and requirements in the work environment, denial of leaves of all kinds, violation of wages through non-compliance with deadlines, non-compliance with the minimum wage, and non-compliance with a large part of the aspects of working conditions.
