A number of citizens were killed and injured at dawn today, Friday, in the shelling and gunfire of the Israeli occupation in several areas of the Gaza Strip. Medical sources reported the death of 3 citizens, including a child, due to the occupation's shelling of a group of citizens near the Communications Roundabout west of Rafah city.
Another citizen was killed and three others were injured due to the occupation's shelling in the central Gaza Strip, in addition to injuries from the occupation's gunfire in the city of Asda in the northwest of Khan Younis. These events come as part of the ongoing escalation by the occupation army against Palestinian civilians.
The occupation army carried out 5 demolition operations of buildings in the Zaitoun neighborhood of Gaza City, leading to the destruction of many Palestinian homes. The occupation's warplanes also launched an airstrike on the western part of Khan Younis city in the southern Gaza Strip, exacerbating the suffering of citizens in that area.
Medical sources announced last Thursday evening the death of 32 citizens across the Gaza Strip due to the gunfire and shelling of the Israeli occupation forces. This toll reflects the scale of the ongoing aggression faced by the sector.
The toll of the occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen since October 7, 2023, to 61,776 dead and 154,906 injured. These figures indicate the humanitarian catastrophe experienced by the residents of the sector under the weight of occupation.
