Dozens of settlers storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the occupation police.

Dozens of Jewish settlers stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem on Wednesday, under heavy protection from the occupation police. This incursion comes at a sensitive time as tensions in the region are escalating.

The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem stated in a statement that the incursion included settlers conducting suspicious tours in the courtyards of the sanctuary, in addition to performing provocative Talmudic rituals, which heightened tensions between Palestinian worshippers and settlers.

The statement added that the occupation police secured the settlers' incursions while simultaneously preventing Palestinian worshippers from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque through its various external gates, reflecting the occupation's policy of tightening restrictions on Palestinians.

This incursion coincides with an increase in assaults on Islamic holy sites, as Al-Aqsa Mosque is considered an important symbol for Palestinians and forms an essential part of their religious and cultural identity.

It is worth noting that these incursions are part of the occupation's policy aimed at changing the status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque, raising concerns among Palestinians and the international community.

These assaults continue amid international silence, reflecting the inability to protect Palestinian rights and Islamic holy sites.
