The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 52,243 dead and 117,639 wounded.
It noted that medical teams are still facing extreme difficulties in reaching victims trapped under the rubble and on the streets due to ongoing military operations.
The ministry stated in its daily statistical report that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 51 dead over the past 24 hours, including 11 who were pulled from the rubble, in addition to 115 new injuries.
The ministry explained that 697 dead have been added to the cumulative statistics after their data was completed and officially approved by the judicial committee responsible for following up on reports and missing persons. The ministry confirmed that documentation efforts are continuing in parallel with rescue and search operations for victims.
The ministry stated that the death toll from the Israeli aggression since March 18, 2025, has reached 2,151 dead and 5,598 wounded, amid ongoing shelling and military operations in various areas of the Gaza Strip.
