The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced on Sunday that its flour supplies in the Gaza Strip have run out.
"The World Food Programme announced on April 25 that its food stocks in Gaza were completely depleted. UNRWA flour supplies also ran out earlier this week," the agency said in a post on its X account.
UNRWA stated that it has "approximately 3,000 trucks loaded with life-saving aid ready to enter Gaza," but Israel is preventing the aid trucks from entering.
The Gaza Strip, with a population of approximately 2.4 million, is almost entirely dependent on humanitarian aid, which has been completely halted since March 2, when Israel closed the Kerem Shalom, Zikim, and Beit Hanoun crossings.
The organization stressed that "the blockade" that Israel has imposed on the Gaza Strip for years must be lifted.
