Four citizens, including an elderly woman and a child, were injured on Monday in an attack carried out by settlers in the village of Umm al-Khair in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron, in the southern West Bank.
According to local sources, settlers from the Karmiel settlement and the Shimon outpost, built on private land in Masafer Yatta, attacked village residents while they were in their homes and lands, using clubs and stones, under the protection of occupation soldiers.
He explained that the attack resulted in injuries to young man Alaa Shaib Al-Hathalin, child Rashid Al-Hathalin, elderly woman Khadra Al-Hathalin, and another woman whose identity has not yet been determined. They were all transported to the hospital by Red Crescent crews for treatment, and their injuries were described as ranging from moderate to minor.
It should be noted that the village of Umm al-Khair is frequently subjected to attacks by settlers, as part of attempts to displace the indigenous population and expand the settlements built on their lands.
