The government media office in Gaza categorically denied on Monday reports circulating that Israel had instructed foreign medical delegations to leave the Strip immediately, warning that "spreading rumors further complicates the difficult humanitarian situation in Gaza."
The office confirmed in a statement that this news is "incorrect and falls within the category of rumours."
According to the office's statement, "Some activists and amateurs are circulating rumors and allegations that the Israeli occupation has informed all foreign medical delegations of the need to leave the Gaza Strip immediately."
The office confirmed "categorically," after direct communication with international medical and non-medical institutions, that "this information is incorrect and merely a rumour."
He called on activists, media professionals, and social media users to "act responsibly and verify news sources before publishing them."
He warned that "spreading rumours could serve the occupation's agenda and further complicate the already difficult humanitarian situation in Gaza."
