Prisoners' Institutions: Israeli occupation arrested 580 citizens last month
Prisoners' institutions said that the Israeli occupation army arrested 580 citizens in the West Bank during the month of January, most of them in the city of Jenin and its camp.
The report issued on Monday indicated that during the past month, about 580 arrests were recorded from the West Bank, most of which were in Jenin and its camp, which has been witnessing aggression for 21 days.
He explained that among the detainees were 17 women and 60 children, and the escalating field investigations included hundreds of citizens.
The report also showed that 4 detainees were martyred during last January, and the martyrs are: (Martyr Muhammad Sharif Al-Asali from Gaza, martyred on 5/17/2024 and announced his martyrdom on 1/29/2025, Martyr Ibrahim Adnan Ashour from Gaza, martyred on 6/23/2024 and announced his martyrdom on 1/29/2025, Martyr Mutaz Mahmoud Abu Zneid from Hebron, martyred on 1/13/2025, and Martyr Muhammad Yassin Jabr from Bethlehem, martyred on 1/18/2025 and announced his martyrdom on 1/19/2025).
The report pointed out that until the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip on January 19, the number of arrests in the West Bank reached 14,500, including 455 women and 1,115 children.
