Jordan condemns the occupation's burning of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the Israeli occupation forces' burning of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, and forcing patients and medical staff to evacuate it.

The official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Sufian Al-Qudah, considered in a statement today, Friday, that these practices are a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, and a heinous war crime that is added to Israel's ongoing crimes in the Strip, holding Israel responsible for the safety of civilians and medical staff working in the hospital.

He stressed the Kingdom's absolute rejection and condemnation of this systematic targeting of medical facilities and personnel, which constitutes a violation of international law, especially the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 1949, and a dangerous attempt to destroy vital facilities necessary for the survival of the population in the northern Gaza Strip.

The judges called on the international community, especially the Security Council, to assume its legal and moral responsibilities, to compel Israel to stop its aggression on Gaza and its targeting of civilians, to end the unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe caused by the aggression, to provide the necessary protection for the Palestinian people, to stop the crimes against them, to hold those responsible accountable, to ensure the protection of humanitarian and health facilities and shelters, and to stop the ongoing Israeli violations of international law.
