Middle East where to?
After the state of turmoil and tension caused by the Arab Spring revolutions and the feeling of panic and fear in Israel of the repercussions of the large popular protests that swept through many political regimes friendly to and loyal to the West and Israel, and with the fear that the fever of these protests and unrest would spread to other countries governed by revolutionary and popular regimes hostile to and hating the existence of Israel, which felt that it would be just an island in a sea of hatred for its illegitimate existence and its racist policies hostile to the Palestinians and everything Arab, some Israeli analysts and military experts called on their successive governments to prepare to fight long-term battles on several fronts, especially since the Iranian and Turkish roles began to spread strongly in the Middle East, at the expense of the flabbiness of a number of Arab regimes, with a noticeable and relative absence of the Israeli role.
Israel did not accept life in an Arab world dominated by democracy and governed by systems independent of the major powers that dictate their internal and external policies. Hence, Israel decided, with the support of the United States, to adopt an approach of hostility to the Arab Spring. It returned with its diabolical attempts that did not subside and confirmed its role, which is considered a nightmare that threatens regional and global peace and stability, because Israel begrudges the Arab peoples and citizens their right to live in free and democratic homelands, with dignity and respect for their rights.
Among the studies of Israeli analysts is one by one of the most prominent Israeli analysts and academics in the field of international relations and strategic studies. We are not exaggerating if we say that his studies and articles reflect the official Israeli vision. He is Professor Ephraim Inbar, Professor of Political Science at Bar-Ilan University in Israel. He predicted that the absence of a liberal democratic political culture makes it likely that these mass protests seeking to achieve political change or democracy will fail and go down the drain. He predicted instead that the current regimes will remain in power or be replaced by new dictatorships, moderate or extremist. This is what happened and things began to recede, after leaving a wide-ranging impact on the region.
Anbar expected that Israel would regain its role as a strong state, with the Arab regimes fearing internal problems. The Israeli deterrent force returned in the war on Gaza and Lebanon, and in demarcating the Syrian scene and violating the dignity of Arab countries, with clear American support, as the United States succeeded in restoring its influential and pressuring position in the Middle East, which is what the results of the current war produced.
The Arab revolutions were mostly a mirage and an illusion, and the real action rejecting Israel’s role in the region as an occupying entity came from the Palestinian resistance, and from free Arab activists in some countries. Israel and the United States did not like the matter, so Israel launched a war of extermination on the Gaza Strip, attacked Lebanon with a lightning war, and now it is occupying parts of Syria, to prove that its approach does not recognize peace at all, but rather racism, occupation, and hatred for Arabs and Palestinians. It unleashed its various apparatuses to assassinate Palestinian and Arab symbols, to sit these days on the fence to hear the noise it is feeding in Syria, and seeks to transfer it to other countries in order to weaken the Iranian role in the region, and this is what actually happened, and to continue with clear American support to demarcate a new Middle East in which some Arab leaders, their regimes, and their countries participate, while acknowledging the existence of a complex situation in the Arab world. Despite this, the weak and appeased countries went to strengthen their relations with Israel behind the scenes for fear of the expansion of the Iranian role, which Israel decided to confront in parallel with its confrontation For the roles of Hamas and Hezbollah.
The Middle East scene that Israel and the United States are drawing is one of the most dangerous projects facing the region, and it is linked to the inevitability of Israel’s traditional military superiority, which does not want to see Arab voices or heads raised, so it went to destroy Lebanon, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and eliminated 85 percent of Syria’s military capabilities, after it increased its defense spending, and exploited American investments and privileges. When Anbar went to analyze the situation 13 years ago, with the necessity of protecting what Israel calls its borders, it has succeeded beyond that these days, as it has expanded its borders and violated the sovereignty of countries in the region, and it seems that it will continue its occupation for a long time, and this reflects Israeli behavior that depends on the policy of occupation.
Anbar advised Israel to strengthen its partnership with the United States, and thus it gained satanic American support, which is currently causing a scene of drawing a new Middle East on the American-Israeli mood. The Arab and neighboring countries must pay attention to the possibility of igniting a new front of tension and problems, because that is an Israeli-American goal par excellence, and today they are professionals at fabricating hatred and aggression against the Arabs and Palestinians, who must be aware and vigilant of Western efforts to distort the Arab and Palestinian scene.
