US and British raids target Sanaa

Houthi media reported airstrikes targeting Sanaa on Saturday evening, saying it was an “American-British” attack.

Al-Hadath channel quoted its correspondent as saying that Houthi sites in Al-Hafa camp and Al-Nahdain area were targeted, and reported that there was intensive flying of reconnaissance aircraft in the skies of Sana'a.

This comes a day after the Iran-backed group announced that it had carried out an attack targeting an Israeli base in the Negev region on Friday, and claimed to have shot down an American MQ-9 drone, coinciding with its admission that it had received two Western airstrikes targeting a site in the southern coastal province of Hodeidah.

For more than a year, the group has been attacking ships linked to Israel, the United States and Britain in the Red and Arabian Seas, and has been launching missiles and drones towards Israel under the pretext of supporting the Palestinians in Gaza, and finally supporting the Lebanese Hezbollah.

The group's media outlets acknowledged receiving two airstrikes on a site in the south of Al Hudaydah Governorate (west of the country) on Friday.

According to Al Masirah TV, the group’s media arm, the two raids, which it described as “American-British,” targeted the At Tuhayat district, located in the south of Al Hudaydah governorate, which the group uses as a main base for launching naval attacks against ships.
