Russia: Trump's Ending Wars Statements Require Concrete Action
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said there must be "concrete measures that everyone is focused on" in response to Donald Trump's statement that he would "end wars" in his victory speech in the presidential election.
This came in her interview with the state-run Rossiya channel on Wednesday, regarding what Donald Trump's victory in the US elections means for Russia.
Zakharova pointed out that the US electoral process has turned into a crisis for years, expressing her fears that internal conflicts in the United States could lead to chaos.
She stressed that "it is an important development that those who received congratulations on winning the recent US elections realize that the United States must start with its own problems."
"Today we heard the thesis that the conflict that started due to the mistake of completely irresponsible American politicians must end," she said.
She added: "There is no doubt that after this thesis, concrete measures must be implemented that everyone focuses on."
Earlier on Wednesday, Republican candidate Donald Trump announced that he had achieved a "historic victory" in the US presidential election against his Democratic rival Kamala Harris.
