The Israeli Army Radio reported that 80 Israelis were killed, including 64 from the army and police; 33 officers and soldiers in southern Lebanon, 19 in the Gaza Strip, and 16 civilians, during the current month, which it described as “Black October.”

The radio said in a report on Tuesday evening: "Since the beginning of this black October, 80 Israeli soldiers and civilians have been killed in battles and war events." It added: "64 members of the Israeli security forces and 16 civilians have been killed."

In detail, the radio said that "33 Israeli officers and soldiers were killed in the ground maneuver in southern Lebanon, and 19 in the ground maneuver in the Gaza Strip during October." Also, "four soldiers were killed on October 13, in a drone strike that targeted the Golani Brigade training base in the Binyamina area near Haifa (north), and about 60 others were injured."

According to the radio, "Three Israeli soldiers were also killed in October by Hezbollah missiles on the Lebanese border, where the party routinely bombs Israeli troop concentrations in the area." Also, "Two Israeli soldiers were killed on October 4 in a drone attack launched from Iraq on a military base in northern Israel, and about twenty others were injured."

Two days later, the radio reported: “An Israeli Border Policewoman was killed in a shooting attack in Beersheba (south), and 10 others were wounded in the attack.” In mid-October, “An Israeli policeman was killed and 4 others were wounded in a shooting attack on Route 4 near Ashdod (south).”

On the 22nd of the same month, "the Israeli army announced the death of a soldier in the Nahal Brigade, in an operational car accident in the Gaza envelope area near the Strip," according to the same source.

According to the radio, "Seven Israeli civilians were killed by Hezbollah missiles in separate incidents in the northern Galilee region during October, including two in Kiryat Shmona, two in Majd al-Krum, one in Yaron, one in Acre, and one in Maalot-Tarshiha." Earlier this month, "seven Israeli civilians were killed and 16 others were injured in a shooting in Jaffa, near Tel Aviv (central)."

On October 10, “an Israeli was killed as a result of wounds he sustained a day earlier in a stabbing attack in the city of Hadera, north of Tel Aviv, which also injured six others.” On October 27, “an Israeli was killed in a car-ramming attack near the Glilot military base in Ramat Hasharon, central Israel, and 36 others were injured,” according to Army Radio.
