Two killed, 11 wounded in Israeli raid near Sidon

At least two people were killed and 11 others injured on Sunday in an Israeli airstrike on Sidon in southern Lebanon, according to a preliminary toll, the Lebanese Health Ministry said.

The Health Ministry said in a statement that "the Israeli enemy's raid on Haret Saida resulted, in a preliminary toll, in the martyrdom of two people and the injury of eleven others." An AFP photographer at the scene saw complete destruction of the third floor of the building targeted by the raid, in addition to damage to residential buildings and dozens of shops surrounding the crowded area in the town of Haret Saida.

Earlier today, the Israeli army issued new evacuation orders to residents of several villages in southern Lebanon, warning that it would strike Hezbollah targets there. Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee posted the evacuation order on his X account, directed at residents of 14 villages in southern Lebanon, saying: “You must evacuate your homes immediately and move to the north of the Awali River; to ensure your safety, you must evacuate without delay.”
