Erdogan: Israel will pay the price for the genocide in Gaza
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan posted a video clip about the genocide committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip on his official account on the X platform today, Monday, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the ongoing genocide committed by Israel in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
The video clip ended with the phrase "Israel's genocide is killing Palestinians and killing humanity" in Turkish, English, Arabic and Hebrew.
Erdogan stressed that Israel will sooner or later pay the price for the genocide it has been committing for a year in the Gaza Strip. He said in a post on the X platform on Monday, "Israel brutally killed about 50,000 children and women in Gaza who were alive 365 days ago."
“Hospitals, places of worship for different religions and schools in Gaza no longer exist. Many journalists, representatives of civil society organizations and ambassadors of peace are no longer among us,” he added.
The Turkish President continued, "Death is not limited to women, children, infants, and innocent civilians in Gaza, Palestine, and currently in Lebanon. At the same time, the international system, humanity, and institutions that were expected to serve humanity have also died."
Erdogan pointed out that "what was killed in front of the eyes of the world on live television for a whole year is in fact all of humanity, and all of humanity's hopes for the future," and said that he sadly remembers today the tens of thousands of people who have been killed by the Israeli government since October 7, 2023.
The Turkish President stressed the need to end the Israeli policy of occupation and genocide that has been ongoing for many years. He added, "We must not forget that Israel will sooner or later pay the price for the genocide it has been committing for a year."
Erdogan likened Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to German Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, saying, "Just as Hitler was stopped by a common alliance of humanity, Netanyahu and his criminal network will be stopped in the same way," considering that a world in which there is no accountability for the genocide committed in Gaza will not enjoy peace.
Erdogan concluded his post by stressing that "Türkiye will continue to stand against the Israeli government no matter the cost and will continue to call on the world to take this honorable stance."
Today, Monday, marks the first anniversary of Israel’s launch of a genocidal war in Gaza, with American support, which has so far resulted in more than 139,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, and more than 10,000 missing, amidst massive destruction and famine that has killed dozens of children and elderly people.
Tel Aviv continues its war of extermination, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to end it immediately, and the International Court of Justice’s orders to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
