Blinken: Washington will continue to work urgently to stop the fire in Gaza
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stressed that the United States will continue to work urgently to secure a ceasefire agreement, alleviate the suffering in Gaza, and recover the detainees.
Blinken added that Washington will seek a diplomatic solution that provides security for the Israeli occupation entity and Lebanon, and allows residents on both sides of the border to return to their homes.
The US Secretary of State said the world is "safer" after the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah.
"The region and the world are safer without him," Blinken said, stressing that "diplomacy remains the best and only path to greater stability in the Middle East." He pledged that the United States would continue to work "urgently" to secure a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.
