Sullivan talks about efforts to stop the fire in Gaza and the Lebanese front

Sullivan: There is a possibility that the situation will change in the coming days and we will be able to present a proposal that Hamas and Tel Aviv will accept.

US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan hinted at a clear path to a halt to the aggression on the Lebanese front, even though the risk of escalation is real.

He pointed out the possibility that the situation might change in the coming days and that we might be able to present a proposal that would be accepted by Hamas and Tel Aviv.

Sullivan said that Washington continues to work with Qatar and Egypt, and has not yet reached the stage of presenting a new proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza.

He explained that his country wants to achieve calm on the northern borders of occupied Palestine and a sustainable solution.

He considered that "we have not yet reached the stage of a wider war between Tel Aviv and Hezbollah, and I hope that will not happen."

"When we feel ready to take another step on the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza, we will do so," he added.
