Human rights organizations in America demand an investigation into the killing of activist Aisha Eji
Human rights organizations, humanitarian associations and American institutions called on the US administration to achieve justice in the killing of the American activist of Turkish origin, Aisha-Nour Eji, who was killed by the Israeli occupation in the town of Beita, south of Nablus.
Iji (26 years old) was shot in the head by an occupation soldier while participating in the weekly demonstration against settlements in the town of Beita last Friday. She was transferred to Rafidia Governmental Surgical Hospital in Nablus, where doctors announced her death due to her critical injuries.
The organizations called on the administration of President Biden and his vice president, Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, to pressure the occupation authorities to conduct a fair investigation into the murder of activist Iji.
The organizations urged the US administration to send an American investigation committee to identify the soldiers who caused the crime and hold them accountable.
Yesterday, in a statement, Iji's family called on President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to issue a decision to conduct an independent investigation into the crime.
