Türkiye: Israel continues to commit crimes against humanity by killing aid workers
Turkey stressed that Israel continues to commit a crime against humanity by indiscriminately killing humanitarian aid workers and volunteers, especially those working for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
This came in a post by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Monday, on the "X" platform, on the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, August 19.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its thanks to the humanitarian relief workers who work with sacrifice all over the world.
She said: "Israel has killed more than 40,000 of our innocent Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip, most of them children and women, and continues to commit a crime against humanity by indiscriminately killing humanitarian relief workers and volunteers, especially UNRWA."
She stressed the need for the blood-stained government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be held accountable before international courts.
This year, World Humanitarian Day coincides with a humanitarian disaster in Sudan due to the war that has been ongoing for more than a year, and floods that have killed dozens and worsened the conditions of the displaced.
