Hamas security official in the Ain al-Hilweh camp, Samer al-Hajj, was killed in Sidon
The Hamas security official in the Ain al-Hilweh camp, Samer al-Hajj, was killed and another person was injured when an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle in Sidon, southern Lebanon. This comes as the Israeli army continues to bomb sites in southern Lebanon, claiming that they belong to Hezbollah, amid escalating tensions in the region. The latter mourned two fighters and confirmed that several Israeli sites were targeted.
The Israeli army said in a statement issued on Friday that "warplanes bombed at night a Hezbollah headquarters in the Hanawiya area, and the organization's infrastructure in the Aita al-Shaab area, in southern Lebanon."
It added that he "attacked a launch pad used by Hezbollah in the Aita al-Shaab area, from which rockets were launched yesterday, Thursday, (towards) the Upper Galilee."
Regarding the sirens that sounded in Kiryat Shmona and its surroundings, the Israeli army said: “A number of missiles were detected that crossed Lebanese territory and fell in open areas, without causing any injuries.”
