4 persons killed in Israeli bombing of southern Lebanon
Four people were killed and another was injured on Tuesday, as a result of Israeli raids that targeted various areas in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health said, "An Israeli raid targeted a house in the town of Meifdoun, killing 4 people."
The ministry added, in a statement, that another raid launched by Israeli aircraft on the town of Khiyam resulted in one person being injured.
Earlier on Tuesday, Lebanon's official news agency reported that an Israeli drone targeted a two-story house in the Al-Nadi neighborhood of the town of Meifdoun.
The agency also reported that the Israeli warplanes launched another raid on the town of Khiyam with two missiles.
It pointed out that the town of Aita al-Shaab in southern Lebanon was subjected to intermittent artillery shelling by the Israeli army.
It pointed out that the Israeli army fired flares over the southern villages and towns adjacent to the Blue Line in the western and central sectors, reaching the outskirts of the city of Tyre.
The army also fired heavy machine guns towards the outskirts of the towns of Aita al-Shaab and Ramyeh, according to the agency.
On Tuesday morning, Hezbollah announced in a statement that its fighters had targeted a building used by Israeli soldiers in the Avivim settlement with “appropriate weapons and hit it directly.”
