Nasrallah: Our response will come either on our own or within the framework of a comprehensive response by the entire axis
Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah delivered a speech on Tuesday evening on the one-week anniversary of the assassination of Fouad Shukr in an Israeli bombing that targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Nasrallah stressed that the response to Shukr's assassination "will inevitably come" whether individually or jointly, considering the Israeli state of waiting to be "part of the punishment."
He stated that "Iran finds itself obligated to respond, and the enemy is waiting with great fear and confusion," and that Hezbollah "sees itself obligated to respond," adding, "Alone or within the framework of a comprehensive response by the entire axis."
Nasrallah pointed out that "this is a major battle, with precious and dear blood and a dangerous targeting that the resistance cannot afford to go through like this, whatever the consequences."
He stressed that "what happened (the assassination of Shukr) cannot pass without a response, whatever the consequences."
He pointed out that the response to Israel will be "a strong, effective and influential response, and between us and them are the days, nights and the field," without mentioning any clarifications in particular.
Nasrallah said that Hezbollah could "within half an hour or an hour" destroy chemical, technology and food factories in northern Israel, which took about 34 years to build.
He considered that Israel "is standing today on one and a half feet, and the state of waiting in it today (for the party's response) is part of the battle."
He said: "We will respond, but slowly and carefully, and the Israeli waiting for our response is part of the punishment."
