The OTS Heads of State expressed their deep concern over the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, condemned the indiscriminate targeting of the civilian population, and called for an immediate and permanent ceasefire and the unhindered provision of humanitarian aid to Gaza, as well as full respect for international law, including Security Council resolutions. relevant international.


The “Karabakh Declaration”, which was signed by the heads of state of the Organization of Turkic States at the conclusion of the informal summit on “Building a Sustainable Future through Transport, Communication and Climate Action” on July 6, 2024 in Shusha, Azerbaijan, also called for a just and long-term solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict over The basis of the two-state solution.


The co-chairs affirmed their support for international recognition of the independent, sovereign and unified State of Palestine based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, and welcomed the adoption of the United Nations General Assembly resolution dated May 10, 2024, which determined that the State of Palestine qualifies for membership in the United Nations and should therefore be accepted into membership in the United Nations. They also called on all countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to do so.


The informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Shusha, Azerbaijan, at the initiative of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
