Israeli media: “irresolvable” differences in the Gaza truce negotiations

On Thursday, official Hebrew media spoke of “irresolvable differences” between the delegations of Israel and the Hamas movement in the indirect negotiations to exchange prisoners and establish a truce in the Gaza Strip.

This was reported by the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, citing what it described as “informed sources” about the progress of the latest round of negotiations, which began in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, last Tuesday.

The official authority said, "The Israeli delegation left Cairo this evening and returned to Israel."

It quoted informed sources, which it did not name, as saying that “there are irreconcilable differences between the two parties,” without revealing the nature of these differences.
