The Israeli Walla website quoted a security source as saying that the head of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), William Burns, is expected to visit Israel tomorrow, Monday, to discuss the hostage deal and meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Reuters quoted an official it described as familiar with the mediation talks on the war in Gaza, that Burns left Cairo on Sunday for Doha to meet with the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani.

It added that Burns' visit to Doha aims to exert maximum pressure on Hamas and Israel to continue negotiations.
