A Hezbollah compound ambush destroys two Israeli vehicles at a border point in southern Lebanon

The Lebanese Hezbollah announced at dawn today (Friday) that it had prepared a combined ambush of guided missiles, artillery, and missile weapons for an Israeli military convoy near the Ruwaisat al-Alam site in the occupied Kfar Shuba hills, east of southern Lebanon.

The party said in a statement, “The Islamic Resistance prepared a combined ambush of guided missiles, artillery, and rocket weapons for a military convoy near the Ruwaisat al-Alam site in the occupied Lebanese Kfar Shuba hills. When it arrived at the ambush point last night, it was targeted with guided, artillery, and missile weapons, which led to the destruction of two vehicles. The enemy worked to create a smokescreen to take away losses.”

The military sources indicated to Xinhua News Agency that "Israeli warplanes carried out 7 air strikes at dawn today, during which they fired 14 air-to-surface missiles on the towns of Shebaa, Kafar Shuba, Rashaya al-Fakhar, al-Habbariyeh, Halta, and the surrounding forests in the eastern sector of the border area."

The sources continued, "The raids resulted in the injury of four citizens from the town of Shebaa, east of southern Lebanon, with various injuries, and an unspecified number of others suffered from suffocation due to the town being exposed to smoke artillery shells."
Eyewitnesses from the town of Kfar Shuba told ((Xinhua)) that, in the early hours of dawn, they heard a series of explosions in the vicinity of the Israeli Ruwaisat Al-Alam site, resulting from missiles fired at Israeli vehicles that were moving between the Al-Summaqa and Al-Alam sites, along the border line separating Lebanon and Israel in this case. the hub".
They added that they "saw heavy fires and columns of smoke emitting from the vehicles that were directly hit, followed by the Israeli army launching dozens of smoke bombs that obscured the vision, which apparently allowed the injured soldiers to be transported by several Israeli helicopters that landed in a rear area close to the scene of the accident."
According to military sources, "the Israeli army fired about 150 shells within 4 hours at 7 towns in the eastern sector of the border area in southern Lebanon."
The border between Lebanon and Israel has witnessed exchanges of fire and bombardment between Hezbollah and armed factions on the one hand and the Israeli army on the other since the outbreak of war between the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and Israel in the Gaza Strip on October 7th.
