Iran warns Israel against harming the country's security and confirms that it will face a firm response
Today (Wednesday) the Iranian army warned Israel that any attack on the country’s interests will face a strong and decisive response that will make it regret its action, stressing that if countries move to support it, it will respond with more force and cruelty, against the backdrop of Israel’s threats of an expected response to the Iranian attack against it.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Army, Major General Abdul Rahim Mousavi, said that any Israeli attack on the country’s interests will face a strong and decisive response that will make the enemy regret its action, and if the enemies move, we will respond with more force and cruelty, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
Mousavi affirmed, during a military parade by the Iranian army on the occasion of the Iranian National Army Day, that the Iranian army is in a state of complete readiness to deal with potential evils, pointing out that what was displayed today throughout the country was a small part of the capabilities, and that is the other part of the equipment on hand. Readiness was not present in the military parade.
He added, "What you saw today was a pillar of the strength and ability of the armed forces in defending the interests of the nation and the people."
He stressed the readiness of the Iranian Armed Forces, stressing that they are usually always ready to carry out tasks in the best possible way, taking into account the country's enemies.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Army noted that all the armed forces these days are in their defensive positions to face any eventuality and are fully prepared to carry out their mission to the fullest.
Last night (Saturday - Sunday), Iran launched an attack, the first of its kind, on Israel by launching a large number of drones and missiles towards its territory, which it called Operation “The True Promise.”
The attack comes in response to the Israeli bombing of the Iranian consulate in Damascus in early April, which resulted in the killing of 7 members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, including the guard’s official in Syria and Lebanon, General Mohammad Reza Zahedi.
A parade of the Iranian Armed Forces was held today (Wednesday) on the occasion of Army Day in all Iranian provinces.
The main Army Day parade ceremony was held in the presence of the President of the Republic, Ebrahim Raisi, at the Shahid Faizullah Amani Training and Support Center for the Army Ground Forces in Loyzan, Tehran, and at the same time in all provincial centers, according to the Iranian Tasnim International News Agency.
In this ceremony, which was attended by senior commanders of the armed forces, various mobile and infantry units of the ground, air, naval and air defense forces were reviewed.
On the sidelines of the Army Day parade, the Commander of the Iranian Army Naval Forces, Admiral Shahram Irani, said that the army fleets are carrying out the mission of escorting our commercial ships, and now the destroyer Jamaran is in the Gulf of Aden, and this mission will continue until the Red Sea.
He added, "We accompany our ships from the Gulf of Aden to the Suez Canal and are ready to protect the ships of other countries as well," Tasnim news agency reported.
He explained that a long time ago, the balance of power in the region changed with the presence of the resistance force, noting that Operation True Promise demonstrated to the whole world how real power and fake power work in the field.
In turn, the Commander of the Iranian Army Air Forces, Brigadier General Pilot Hamid Vahidi, said that the action taken by the Revolutionary Guard against Israel was a punitive measure, pointing out that if Israel wanted to attack, it would face a harsh response and a major attack by the armed forces.
On the sidelines of the Army Day ceremony, Wahidi explained that today the Air Force’s readiness in the Sukhoi 24 fighter is higher than ever before, and the other fighters are 100 percent ready.
He stressed that if Israel made a mistake, it would certainly face an irreparable response, saying, "We are 100 percent ready in all fields, whether in air coverage or in bombers, and we are ready for any operation."
On the other hand, Israeli Army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy pledged, on Monday evening, in a speech to his soldiers at the Nevatim air base in the south of the country, which was hit during the Iranian attack, to respond to Iran’s unprecedented attack on Israel.
According to Israeli Channel 12, the political and security leadership in Israel decided to respond clearly and decisively to the Iranian attack.
During his visit to the Nevatim base, General Halevy said that Israel "will respond to the launching of this very large number of missiles and drones on the territory of the State of Israel."
Last night (Saturday - Sunday), Iran launched about 350 missiles and drones towards Israel, and the Israeli army said that it intercepted 99% of them, at a time when Tehran said that half of the missiles successfully hit Israeli targets.
This is the first direct attack launched by Iran against Israel through its territory and not through groups loyal to it, in response to an attack targeting the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus at the beginning of this April.
Iran accuses Israel of launching a missile attack on its consulate in Damascus, which resulted in the killing of 7 members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, including prominent General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, while Israel did not officially acknowledge or deny its responsibility for the aforementioned attack.
