On Saturday, the body of Benjamin Ahimir, 14, a settler who had been missing since Friday morning, was found in an area of the village of al-Mughir, north of the city of Ramallah.

According to a statement by the Israeli army, in cooperation with the Shin Bet, the settler was killed on nationalistic grounds, and the perpetrators are being pursued.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that large forces from the army and Shin Bet were searching for those he described as “murderers,” pledging to reach them.

He called on the settlers to exercise restraint and let the security forces carry out their duties.

Settlers called for burning Palestinian towns and villages in retaliation for the settler's killing.
