Tasnim News Agency said that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy today detained “a cargo ship belonging to the Zionist regime in the Gulf.”

British maritime security agencies UKMTO and EMBRI reported that a ship had been seized by “regional authorities” 50 nautical miles off the coast of Fujairah, UAE.

Ambrey noted that she had seen "still footage of at least three individuals descending from a helicopter onto what appears to be a cargo ship," noting that this method had been "previously used by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy."

This incident comes amid escalating tension in the region, as the United States sent military reinforcements in anticipation of a possible Iranian attack in response to a strike that targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus on the first of this month and led to the killing of 7 members of the Revolutionary Guard, including two high-ranking officers.
