The Israeli security establishment is preparing for the arrival of the month of Ramadan, which is expected to begin tomorrow, Monday, amid estimates that the situation will flare up due to the continuing war on the Gaza Strip.

According to the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the Israeli security services will try to prevent the outbreak of a wave of attacks in Jerusalem and the West Bank, as well as the heart of Israeli cities, especially in light of Hamas’ attempts to exploit the days of Ramadan to ignite a war on multiple arenas.

The newspaper quoted an Israeli security source as saying, “The month of Ramadan constitutes fertile ground for waging a jihadist war against the infidels.” On the ground, Hamas is trying to make more efforts to incite Palestinian youth to carry out attacks, especially in Jerusalem.

The Israeli security establishment fears “inspiring” attacks carried out by Palestinian individuals who succeed in doing so and constitute an incentive to carry out other attacks.

The Hebrew newspaper indicated that dozens of Palestinians were arrested under the pretext of "incitement to carry out attacks."

The newspaper pointed out that the intensive activities of the Israeli army thwarted the plans of Hamas, which was expecting a series of large attacks from the West Bank and Jerusalem during the war on Gaza, pointing out that the arrest of thousands and the thwarting of dozens of attacks thwarted the movement’s plan.

The newspaper said: The Israeli army has not operated with such operational freedom in the West Bank since Operation “Guardian of the Walls” in 2021.
