Netanyahu: I will not give up full security control over all the lands west of Jordan
Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today, Saturday, that he will not give up full "Israeli" security control over all the lands west of Jordan.
The White House stated earlier that US President Joe Biden discussed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the latest developments in the Gaza Strip.
The White House stated that Biden and Netanyahu held a phone call regarding Gaza on Friday, in their first conversation in nearly a month amid reports of tensions between the two leaders.
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper revealed that US President Joe Biden is hesitant to proceed with advice given by those close to him, by declaring his lack of confidence in Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, against the backdrop of the latter’s intention to prolong the war in the Gaza Strip for personal reasons.
According to the Hebrew newspaper, the Biden administration is frustrated by the prolongation of the war, and by the fact that Netanyahu refuses to discuss the next day in Gaza (after the war).
According to the newspaper, this comes at a sensitive stage in which Biden needs to achieve a diplomatic achievement to end the war before the start of the presidential election race.
Press reports stated that Netanyahu informed the White House that he opposes the establishment of a Palestinian state within the framework of any post-war scenario, contrary to the American desire.
The announcement revealed Netanyahu's recognition of the deep divisions between the two close allies, more than 3 months after the Israeli war against the Gaza Strip, as part of his effort to eliminate the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
Presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeina said, in response to Netanyahu’s statements rejecting the establishment of a Palestinian state, that what is required of the United States of America is to recognize the State of Palestine, and not just talk about the two-state solution, and this is the appropriate time to do that.
Abu Rudeina added that Israeli government is not concerned with peace and stability, and still refuses to acknowledge the fact that peace will not be achieved without the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital on the 1967 borders.
He pointed out that the UN Security Council resolutions, the General Assembly resolutions, and the international consensus made the State of Palestine an observer member in the United Nations, and the flag of the State of Palestine was raised alongside the countries of the world that recognized it.
Abu Rudeina stressed that the Palestinian people will not give up their legitimate rights, Jerusalem and its sanctities, and the establishment of their independent Palestinian state, no matter how long it takes.
